PILOT CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Fumio Fujisaki, President; hereafter, "PILOT") is pleased to announce that it will release a second video on the theme of the PILOT Group's Purpose, "Our Creations Inspire Creativity." The video will be published on Friday, October 2. The first video was published in 2022, the year the Purpose was established. It explained the significance of the existence of the PILOT Group, which has been supporting the act of writing for more than 100 years, and its new determination going forward, "Our Creations Inspire Creativity." The second video depicts the process of achieving the Purpose, in which every individual person within the PILOT Group takes small creative measures and takes on challenges to support the creativity of people all around the world and create new value for society.
The video starts with a narrator saying, "Creativity. It's in us all." With a warm atmosphere, it shows a child absorbed in the drawing of a picture, the hands of people writing letters, people taking notes about their ideas, and other moments of creation that fill everyday life. The middle part of the video shows the creative measures and efforts to take on challenges that PILOT is engaged in to create better products and services in its factories, offices and other work sites. It then depicts creative actions at a range of work sites, such as people thinking of small ideas, making improvements, taking on challenges and learning new things. It shows them supporting the creativity of people all around the world, along with the message: Our job is to draw out the world's creativity. The final part of the video shows a series of moments in which people use their creativity, expressing the value created by PILOT's Purpose, "Our Creations Inspire Creativity." Using images of PILOT's products and services, drawing out the creativity of each individual, the video symbolically expresses the vision of the world that PILOT aims to create. The video ends with the message, "When we do 1% more, the world gets 1% more creative."
