To minimize the environmental impact of our products, we have established the Environmental Management Group, which engages in the following operations.
- Creation of a chemical substance database:
We collect information about the chemical substances used in our products to create a database.
This database includes the properties, usage, handling methods and safety information for each chemical substance.
Using this database, we understand our products' safety and the status of compliance with laws and regulations. We use this information as the foundation for our provision of safe products.
- Issuance of safety datasheets (SDSs):
We prepare and provide accurate, detailed safety datasheets concerning the inks used in our products.
We use the SDSs to provide users with information about the handling of our products and the safety measures to take, so that the products are handled properly.
- Issuance of certificates of non-use of regulated chemical substances:
We issue certificates of non-use as proof that our products do not contain regulated chemical substances.
These certificates clarify our consideration of product safety and the environment, enabling us to earn the trust of our customers.
Note: Regarding the issuing of certificates of the non-use of regulated chemical substances, we may be unable to answer some questions.
- Responding to the laws and regulations of individual countries related to chemical substances:
We collect information about individual countries' laws and regulations on chemical substances. We take necessary procedures and conform to the regulations.
Through these efforts, we ensure that our products fulfill the legal requirements in each country so there are no obstacles to their import, export or sale.
- Activities for associations related to chemical substances:
We work together with relevant associations and groups on chemical substances to implement initiatives to minimize environmental impact. We also share information with them.
Further, we proactively participate in industry-wide activities to protect the environment as a part of our efforts to fulfill our responsibilities to society.
The Environmental Management Group implements the above tasks appropriately to reduce the environmental impact of our products and live up to the expectations of our customers and society.
