We continuously implement various initiatives to ensure the health of our employees and to create a safe and comfortable workplace.
Health Examination・Stress Check
We conduct stress checks on all employees in the fall of every year, and if an employee is selected as a high-stress employee, an interview with an industrial physician is conducted upon request, not only by the employee who made the request, but also by other employees who do not fall under the category of high-stress employees. We consider the mental health of our employees to be extremely important.
Initiatives to promote health
We make every effort to improve the health of our Group employees in Japan, working together with the PILOT Health Insurance Association, which is responsible for our health insurance.
The walking campaign started in 2014 by the Association as one way to encourage exercise. The goal of this campaign is for participants to reach a targeted number of steps while using a walking map to manage their progress over two months. Many domestic employees of the PILOT Group in Japan now take part.
The walking campaign was initially expected to supplement employees’ exercise programs, but it did more. Many employees discovered other effects: improved walking as well as better mental and physical health, communication with colleagues and family, and the rediscovery of local attractions.
We have also established an external mental and physical health consultation office to promote activities to support better health.
Health and Safety Committee Meetings
Safety and health committees have been established at our major domestic business sites, and the company and employees work together to create safe and comfortable work environments on an ongoing basis. The Hiratsuka Plant received an Encouragement Award from the Kanagawa Labor Bureau for its longstanding safety efforts.
Respect for Human Rights
- The PILOT Group supports and respects the “International Bill of Human Rights” (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenants on Human Rights) and the “Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work” of the International Labour Organization (ILO). We have established our human rights policy based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
- As part of its efforts to protect the human rights of each and every employee, the PILOT Group strives to improve the work environment by establishing a whistleblower hotline and an internal audit system.
